Past Projects

In 2023 volunteers spent around 3,000 hours in a compressed, seven-month period to complete a Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity home, a project that normally takes 12-15 months. Thrivent Financial has been a long-time supporter for Habitat; this is the first home in Ozaukee Country accomplished through the grant program.

We completed a project in Grafton, a two-family duplex in February of 2022. This exciting project kicked off in the fall of 2019. As soon as all of our permits were approved our team was pouring the foundation and joyously held our wall raising in October.

Our determined volunteers made amazing progress over  two years despite the many challenges they were faced with. Regardless of the challenges of a smaller crew due to COVID we are proud of all of their hard work!

This was one of our new Brush with Kindness projects, in which we provide more minor repairs and modifications to existing homes. This addition was dedicated on Sunday November 10, 2013.

Habitat for Humanity Lakeside Ozaukee County Chapter built a new home on Park Street in Port Washington. Dedication of this home was held Sunday August 18, 2013.

Built in 2003, this single family home in Port Washington located on First Park Street was Habitat Lakeside's first full build in the community.

Again with the generous support of suppliers and volunteers, Habitat Lakeside was able to build this duplex located in Port Washington on the corner of Larabee and Maple.  The construction began in 2004 and the project was completed in 2005.

Located just across the street from Habitat Lakeside's first build this four-plex was completed in 2009.  This was among the more ambitious projects for Habitat Lakeside and once again with community support their vision become reality.  Included in this project was a partnership with WE Energies to install solar panels which has made these units energy self reliant and what they don't use WE Energies buys back.
