It costs approximately $200,000 to build a Habitat home in Ozaukee County. To qualify for Habitat's home ownership program, individuals and families must:

  • Be a legal resident of Ozaukee County for a minimum of one year, however you may qualify if you have earned your primary income by working within the county for a minimum of one year
  • Meet the Area Median Income (AMI) range of 60-80%
  • Demonstrate an acceptable credit history
  • Have been denied a conventional mortgage 

Families who partner with Habitat agree to provide 250 hours of sweat equity to help in the construction of their new home.
